Wanakiji Jukurrpa (Bush Tomato Dreaming) Brown Canvas Art Print - A magnetic work of Aboriginal Wall Art, this piece takes centre stage in your space with an adventurous design of connected circles atop a meticulous array of dots. This traditional Aboriginal Art features a neutral palette of light brown shades, beige and black, with an overall warm undertone. A piece of modern Aboriginal Art, this work showcases the remarkable talent and cultural heritage of a skilled local Aboriginal Artist, making it a true embodiment of Indigenous Artistic expression and storytelling.

‘Wanakiji’ grows in open spinifex country and is a small,
prickly plant with purple flowers that bears green fleshy
fruit with many small black seeds. After collecting the fruit,
the seeds are removed with a small wooden spoon called
‘kajalarra’.
The fruit then can be eaten raw, or threaded onto skewers
called ‘turlturrpa’ before being cooked over a fire. ‘Wanakiji’
can also be skewered and left out to dry, which is known as
‘turlturrpa’, and when prepared using this method the fruit
can be kept for a long period of time

Urban Road is committed to investing a stream of ongoing financial support back to our Artist community. For every artwork sold, a percentage of the sale price goes directly back to the Indigenous Artist.

Each of these modern Aboriginal artworks have their own story and meaning, with the artists drawing on upon their personal life experiences, exuding strength, resilience, and a profound sense of connection.

STRETCHED CANVAS

Our stretched canvas fine art prints are professionally printed on polycotton artist canvas, using archival inks and then stretched and gallery wrapped. This means the image is stretched around a 38mm frame to create a seamless, museum-quality finish. All stretched and box framed art prints arrive ready to hang.

SHADOW BOX FRAMES

A little different from a traditional framed print, the canvas sits within the box frame with a 5mm gap, creating a sophisticated shadow effect between the frame and the canvas. Our solid timber box frame mouldings are 10mm wide, and 55mm deep, and add approximately 40mm to the length and height of the listed canvas size.

Also availiable in different coloured frames, sizes and as a canvas print. Please contact us for pre order and custom details.
